Restorative Yoga Session

Goal: To focus on relaxation and recovery through gentle yoga poses, promoting flexibility, reducing stress, and aiding muscle recovery.

Gentle Warmup

  • Easy Stretching
    Instructions: Start with easy stretches to gently loosen the muscles and joints. Focus on breathing deeply with each stretch.
    Equipment used: None
    Duration: 5 minutes
    Muscles worked: Full body

Main Yoga Poses:

  • Child’s Pose
    Instructions: Sit on your heels, fold forward at your hips, extend your arms in front of you or along your body, and gently place your forehead on the mat.
    Duration: Hold for 3 minutes
    Muscles worked: Back, shoulders, hips
  • Supine Twist
    Instructions: Lie on your back, bring your knees to your chest, then gently let them fall to one side while keeping your shoulders flat on the floor, extend your arms out to the sides.
    Duration: Hold for 2 minutes on each side

  • Legs-up-the-Wall Pose
    Instructions: Sit close to a wall, lie back, and extend your legs up the wall, allowing your body to relax deeply with minimal effort.
